I have found the problem. The problem seems to be that the board I have bought is an NForce2, which is somewhat notorious for installation difficulties. Apparently this is what I have to do to install windows2000 upon it, which is all very well if you happen to have another machine with a CD-Burner and Windows 2000. I haven\'t. So last night Windows 98 2nd Edition found its way onto the machine instead.
