Today has mostly been spent parading up and down in the park in Bayenthal, pretending to be an office worker from London on lunch, with a nice young lady named Tamara by my side, in the background of Waris Dirie sitting with her friend on a park bench.
For five hours. In the freezing cold.
So much for glamour and tinsel.
I've done this before, but that was on a set inside, which was nice and warm. I played a barman who spent the day cleaning glasses, frowning at people, and, finally, switching a radio off (which subsequently got cut). For that, I got 80 Euros, but that was near a 12-hour day. This was only 5 and a half, so I got 55 Euros this time.
It was fun and we had a laugh, and it was also interesting to see a real 35mm film crew at their work. (I think "Dresden" might have been 16mm, but I'm not sure).
