I'm back online, with a minimum of fuss, but 40 Euro worse off.
Now. About a week ago I decided I fancy a copy of the Valve "Orange Box". I went over to Amazon and ordered it post-haste, because I want to play it in English.
This evening, I found, on our landing, an empty Amazon box. The contents had been ripped out and the packaging allowed to carry on to me.
I am, needless to say, pissed off. I'm pissed off because this is not the first time it's happened. The post in Germany is notoriously dodgy. I've had books and CDs go missing at my old address, but this is the first time it's happened at this one. I reckon I'm about 50 Euros down on the deal, which isn't too much of a problem, as I've fired off a letter of complaint to Amazon, and if they don't stump up a replacement or money back, then I'll claim on my CC insurance. No, what pisses me off is the fact that the post here is entrusted to thieving bastards, who are in a position, due to German labour laws, where they can steal with impunity.
