Forty-seven million pounds worth of art by Cezanne, Van Gogh and Monet has been stolen from a museum in Zurich.
The owners should, however, take heart in the declaration that "Art that does not honour God is worthless" by Cardinal Meisner, Bishop of Cologne. Doubtless they will be laughing all the way to the bank as they collect on the insurance. All that money for a few worthless canvasses! By that same metric, all those silly Frenchmen with machine-guns in the Louvre would be better off doing something else with their time than protecting that crude daubing of some Venetian slapper by Leonardo DaVinci. It doesn't honour God, see?
So it's got about as much value as an empty tin of soup.
