Website clutter : An unnecessary, ugly, often clunky and hard-to-use feature of a website, or a trendy feature that makes the site difficult to navigate.
Webcheese also describes trends in webpage design which become overused and cliched. Examples include animated gifs of rotating text, java applet-based 3d rotating navigation "aides" (no, we still haven't forgotten the fiasco that was Lufthansa's website in 1999), all-flash websites, excessive javascript (and AJAX), dropshadows on boxes, and, most recently, excessive use of alpha transparency.
Webcheese is beloved of amateur webpage owners.
