This afternoon I have been mostly burning CDs ready for the Wigan Wigout. The idea is to burn a CD which is then put into a box, and you all take one out at random, to find some new music which you wouldn\'t normally have picked up upon. This year I have burnt two CDs. Last time I burnt two CDs I burnt a good one, of stuff I really liked, and a bad one, of stuff which was the worst I could find, like The Shaggs and the theme from \"Crossroads\" (not the American movie with Steve Vai, but the British soap-opera), which didn\'t endear me to the person who got it...
Anyway, this year I\'ve burnt two cds of good stuff. I\'ve done it because there\'s always a strange synchronicity that goes on at these events - previously Clive has always picked up my CD (he got the good one the last time I did the two) and I always seem to pick up Paul Simpson\'s (which I always enjoy enormously - he\'s turned me on to a couple of new bands - and thanks for the Tom Baker outtakes, by the way, Paul). So this time I\'m hoping events will reverse themselves.
I\'ve still got to practice up on \"Revolution\" ready for Guitar Idol, but I\'m confident on the other tunes. I bet I go to pot on them all.
