Peter came round today and finally made it official : Dead End Street is dead.
He says that he wants to play just blues with the other two members : they're primarily blues fans and blues guitarists. As I'm not a blues guitarist, I'd be pushed into being the bassist, and it was obvious from the last few rehearsals that their heart wasn't in the 60's stuff, and my heart wasn't in the blues stuff.
So I'm out of the band.
He did say that if I found another two players for a 60's band, he would jump at the chance to play drums for me, but I reckon he was saying that just to soften the impact.
So, where do I go from here?
Solo gigs, find another band, or start one myself?
